The Secrets of Basic Hair Cutting Techniques to Create Stunning Hairstyles Easily

When any individual is going to cut their hair there are some basic techniques that have to be followed. To begin with, the hair should be damp but not overly wet as it would be just after shampooing.

Dampening it down with a spray bottle of cool water helps to keep the flyaway hairs in manageable condition. It is very important as well that the hair be clean and not contain any hair products of any type.

One thing you want to remember is that if you are going to color your hair that the coloring should be done before the cut. The advantage to this is that once you are ready for the cut if there is any unevenness in the hair color then the ends can be cut away.

Even for those that have long hair it is important that they get a regular trim as the ends become damaged quickly and can make what is the overall healthy hair look sick. When it comes to short styles they need to be trimmed more often because of the new hair growth really becomes quite noticeable.

The average individual with short hair will probably need a haircut anywhere between 4 to 6 weeks although some can get away with waiting up to 8 weeks. Always do yourself a favor though if you have a special occasion coming up do not get your haircut just prior to the occasion.

What you may want to do is at least two weeks before hand if you have decided to go short is do it then. Adjustment stages are a good idea as well, if you have long hair and you decide that you are fed up with it and want to go short the best thing to do is go to a medium style first. Once you have adjusted to this then move on to the shorter length.

For the most part unless you are a professional stylist, you are not going to want to cut your own hair or anyone else's for that matter. There may be times that you need to give yourself either a slight trim or someone else in the case of an emergency. For the most part, it is really a smart idea to have your haircut done by a professional hairstylist.

You will find sometimes that when it comes to children you will need to do an emergency cut if they have gotten something stuck in their hair or perhaps one of the other kids has decided to play hairstylist and cut their hair for them. Do as little cutting as possible and make arrangements to get the child to hairstylist as soon as you possibly can.

You are going to find that if you had long hair or even medium length hair that once you go short taking care of it is going to be a little bit different. You will probably be pleasantly surprised when you do not have to spend near as much time on your hair but you are going to have to get used to using your styling tools with the particular hairstyle that you are now going to be going with.

Customer Service at a Hair Cut Shop

Giving great customer service at a low-cost hair cut place is not easy these days. Consider if you will the average family with unruly kids or Hispanic families with lots of kids and many with broken English. Consider the number of people with hair lice or who have questionable hygiene and all those with ADHD who will not sit still, while you are trying like heck to balance out their side burns or work around their cowlicks.

It is just not easy these days dealing with the customers coming thru a low cut hair cut place. And then there are those folks who want a special designer haircut for $12 and cannot be satisfied no matter what you do. As if that was not enough the competition in that sector with all the franchises and other shops makes it tough to make a strong showing on the P & L each month and it is not as if the triple net lease property manager cares if you are making money or not.

Of course the key to return customers and cash flow starts with your ability to deal with all these customers. If you can work to make these customers happy you will end up with the lions share of the business in the area. This makes customer service your top priority so next time you want to tell one of your hard to deal with customers where to go or where to stick it. Well, just remember this article and kill them with kindness. You will be glad you did.

Justin Timberlake Haircuts - Crew Cuts and Buzz Cuts

Justin Timberlake is an American dancer, actor and pop star singer. He first became popular at the age of fourteen when he became a part of the very much loved boy band, 'Nsync. He has won four Grammy Awards. He is a famous singer that is usually found wearing his hair short during his performance. This includes the buzz cut, crew cut, etc. Guys, if you think you are going to be able to jump around stage and sing 'Bye, bye, bye' like Justin, then you have another thing coming for you. However, if you are wanting to sport Justin Timberlake haircuts around town, well, that one sounds more doable.

We really like his buzz cut, which makes his natural curly hair easy to maintain. With this short cut, he looks smart, clean and don't forget about sexy. He has those tapered sides, ringlets on top and yes, he even shaves his beard in order to give him that younger appearance.

Many believe that he has the coolest short hair you are ever going to find on a celebrity guy his age. The buzz is very easy to maintain. With this type of cut, there will be no use for purchasing hair products and did we mention that it is very easy to maintain?

As for the crew cut, that one will involve slightly longer hair than the buzz. It is also going to require a little bit more maintenance.

However, it is definitely a cool look that may look good on you. With the crew cut, you will be able to keep the hair short in the back as well as on the sides, but on the top, you will be able to keep it longer. Generally, it will be one inch to two inches longer on the top. When it comes to styling the longer tresses on the top of your head, we recommend you using gel or pomade.

Hair Relaxer For Thick Curly Hairstyle

It may be a dumb question, it takes so long to straighten the thick curly hairstyle with some frizz control and a flat iron. I was wondering if we can get a relaxer for this kind of hair?

First, there are several different ways to straighten hair. The relaxers have 'Lye' and they are mostly too strong for the hair although they can be used if applied by a skilled stylist. Most straightening products are basically 'perms' or permanent waves which are combed into the hair and they will straighten the hair. It's depending on the course of different hair.

Thio (Thioglycolate) relaxer. It is actually a texturizer and it is designed for curly or wavy hair. There are several good products out there: Rusk Radical Anti-curl, Redken Vertical, L'oreal X-tenso, Matrix Opti-smooth. They are all professional treatments. Do some research to find out if there are any reputable salons in your area that offer the service.

Stay away from Lye (sodium hydroxide) relaxers, or calcium hydroxide relaxes. They are not really designed for this kind of hair type and won't produce the results which you are looking for.

Thio, will produce soft shiny hair, that will be much easier to straighten, but you will still be able to wear your hair curly or wavy if you want to. The waves or curls will just be looser, smoother and shinier.

Long Layered Haircuts - A Cut For Everyone

Let us be very honest. We are all a little envious of those who have beautiful long hair. Anybody can maintain a short bob cut or any other short haircut. However, long hair is harder to maintain, or so we think. In reality, unlike short hair, long layered haircuts suits all kind of facial shapes and can be maintained with the same amount of care that goes into short hair.

For long hair haircut with layers give the face a soft and feminine look. We often think of long layered hairs as a specific single style. In reality, the long layered haircuts come in many styles like the long face framing layers, choppy layers, layers with blunt bangs, layers with side-swept bangs, curly long layers, layered bobs etc. Depending on the shape of the face, you can choose any type of layered haircuts that suit you.

Hairstylists categorize faces into eight basic shapes and apply the long layered haircuts accordingly. Oval shaped faces are considered the most versatile of facial shapes because it complements a multiple array of long layered haircuts. Rather the only cut to avoid is having too many layers on top of the head, which makes the face look longer or gaunt.

However, this is exactly what women with round faces need, to add some length to their face. Haircuts with layers that fall just below the chin take away the roundness of the face from the sides as well, giving it a more oval shape.

For women with long and narrow rectangular faces, the haircuts with layered hair can shorten the faces' length and add roundness to the otherwise narrow shape. Hairstylists suggest long hair, with layers at short intervals and bangs and a side part. With this face shape though hair shouldn't be cut too short or too long.

Faces with narrow forehead and wide chin are labeled pear-shaped. Opposite of the heart shaped face, women with pear shaped face need to add width to their forehead and hide the wideness of their chin. Get long layered haircuts that leave you with layers falling along the chin. Brush hair off the forehead and wear it loosely to give some volume on top and around the forehead.

Diamonds may be a girl's best friend, but a diamond shaped face can also shine the same way with the right long layered haircuts. Wear long layered hair brushed away from forehead or loose around the top to give width to it. Layers should fall in wisps around the wide chin to hide its width.

Women with square faces often want to take away the edges and bring some roundness to it. Long layered haircuts with wispy medium bangs falling around the jaw line usually add that softness and feminine curve to the face. Layers should not be allowed to grow chin length or longer in this case.

Hairstyles are all about hiding the drawbacks and enhancing the advantages. Women with heart shaped faces want to take the attention away from their wider forehead and add volume to their jaw line. Soft long hair with layers sweeping across the cheekbone will be able to do that. Avoid blunt or uneven layers with this face shape.

Long layered haircuts can be worn up, in a ponytail, or in various styles. Moreover, long layered haircuts can be given different looks at home using curling irons or hairs strengtheners. Currently, there are various stylizing products that can be used to give volume or curls to your hair for a temporary style using the long layered hair cut as basis.

Short Hair Cuts

Today's short haircuts are especially attractive and simple to care for. One of the reasons women wear their hair short is because it's easier to take care of. Short hair is so fashionable right now with the increased use of flat-irons. Some ladies feel they look more professional with a short haircut, while some athletic girls need the convenience of a short haircut. The hottest haircuts right now are some of the same ones that have been around for years. The following are some of the trendy haircuts right now.

Short Crop Cut - A very short length that is gradually layered all over. It can be cut up over the ears or left with a little fringe in front. Not only is the Crop very easy to care for and style, it's also comfortably cool making this cut wonderful in the summer and hot climates. The Crop can be dressed up with highlights over lowlights for beautiful dramatic look.

Short Layer Cut - Chin length with layers only on the lower side and back sections of the head. With some hair types the back and sides will stand out from the head, making a wedge shape. Its essentially a great haircut for almost all hair types. Personally, I think brunettes always catch the eye with this haircut.

A-Line Bob - A chin to shoulder length cut that is very short in the back with longer layers cascading to one level in the front. The A-line is soooo in right now with highlights, lowlights or rich solid colors it's popularity is timeless.

The Classic Bob - Anywhere from chin to shoulder length, the hair is cut from the bottom to the top making each layer a little longer than the one under it. This gives the hair a heavier weight line at the ends and with most hair textures it will curve under slightly. With or without bangs this haircut is a classic.

Short Shag - A layered cut that is shoulder length in back, with the sides cut diagonally connecting the bangs to the back. The layers lift the weight off the ends giving the hair a light flowing style. The Shag is another haircut fitting for most hair types.
